Is theFocusOnLife.org really free?

Yes.  version 1.0 is totally free for Charter Memberships for all websites and all functionality.  Charter Members are given an annual free membership on their account. No credit card required.  Just click Register.

When I click a YouTube link I immediate get an ad.  How can I avoid this?

YouTube ads are a function of YouTube.  I sugguest you suscribe to  a Premium YouTube membership.  This gives you ad-free access and a YouTube Music subscription.  The music app. alone is worth the monthly fee.

When I enter thefocusonlife.com into my browser address bar I either get Not Found - a search page - or an unrelated website.

This is a common mistake.  Our website's actual domain is "thefocusonlife.org" rather than .com.

Sometimes, when I'm in "Guest" mode I lose the organized sort that I have on my Member page.  What can I do?

Guest mode defaults to Random sorting.  This allows the viewer to click 'Guest' or 'Refresh' to see a different set of stories on the grid.  This is especially useful on large grids.  There are two ways to override this sort.  1. Click the 'Sort' in the Top Bar and select a different sort--chose 'Oldest' if you are in a grid where the order of stories matter.  Or select 'Newest' if you want to see the new or most recent stories.  2. Click the highlight "menu" on the story tile after the words "Posted In".  This will display stories in the order in which the author intended. After viewing a story, click 'Back' in the Top Bar to keep same grid sort or the menu name after the words Posted in at the bottom of the page.  Number 2 is the recommended method.

I can't remember my password or my account's email address.  How can I log in?

If you have forgotten your password, click the 'Forgot your password?' link on the log-in form.  You will be directed to provide your "master" website 1 email address <-IMPORTANT.  DO NOT USE the log-in email which has numbers at end (e.g. 'yourname@gmail.com21').  After submitting the form you will receive an email in your emal account with a link to request a password change.  Click the link and you will be redirected to the Reset-Password form.  Enter the desired passward.  One way to avoid this problem is to use your browser's SAVE PASSWORD function.

Email address problems are usually typos or attempting to log-in to a new website when logged in to a different website.  Website 1 - the main TFOL site allows you to enter another website's email in log-in and it will redirect you to that site.  This doesn't work for other websites -- first select the site from Websites on the Top Nav Bar, then log in.

If you have forgotton the website number of your desired website, click 'Websites' in the Top Bar for a list of existing websites and their number.  Add this number to the end of your email address in the log-in form.

I am occassionally getting an "Access Denied" message on my grid.  Why is that?

The "Access Denied" message usually occurs when a viewer has entered a link in their browser's address bar to a protected page in TFOL.  For example a member's page is protected from others having access to their administrative privileges.  However, on occassion you may see a bogus "Access Denied" message--this is a bug we are working on fixing.  There is no access being denied.  Simply click on "Guest", a Member Name, or "Refresh" in The Top Bar and the message will go away.
