A Short Story - nothing happened
May 17, 2026
There wasn’t anything to photograph.
No action. No moment. Nothing changing.
It was just the end of the day.
The Pause
The light had started to fade, and everything felt a little slower. People nearby were quiet. The air felt still.
I wasn’t looking for a photo.
I almost put the camera away.
The Shift
But something about it made me stop.
Not because of what I saw—
but because of how it felt.
So I took a photo.
The Photo
Looking at it later, nothing stands out right away.
No clear subject. No obvious moment.
But it feels like being there.
Quiet. Still. Unhurried.
What Changed
Nothing needed to happen.
It was already there.
