Maupin Scenic Bikeway

Rode the Sherar’s Falls Scenic Bikeway with five others from our local group, and it turned into one of those rides you keep thinking about afterward. The scenery is genuinely special—constantly changing between farms and open fields, then tightening into river views with rapids, and finally those striking canyon walls framed by rimrock. It never felt repetitive.

There’s one main climb that’ll get your attention, but it’s manageable and honestly just adds to the satisfaction of the ride. The payoff is a long, flowing descent with smooth, predictable curves that make it easy to relax and enjoy.

All in, a fantastic route with a great balance of effort and reward. I’d happily ride it again.
