Visit Central Oregon Chess

Chess may be played by two people across a board, but it has always been strengthened by community. A regular game night, a new opponent, or a conversation about an interesting position can turn a quiet pastime into a shared experience.

Central Oregon Chess provides a gathering place for chess players throughout the region. It is designed for experienced competitors, casual players, returning players, and those who are still learning how the pieces move.

The community website includes scheduled Chess Nights in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and other Central Oregon locations. Club Notes provide announcements and schedule updates, while Chess Game Meetups help members arrange individual games either in person or online.

Players can also find community information, membership options, chess organizations, learning resources, tournament guidance, and links to places such as Chess.com and Lichess.

You do not need to be an expert to participate. You only need an interest in chess and a willingness to sit down across the board from someone new.
